1 mile!!!
Today, I accomplished what is, for me, a huge goal. Today I ran my first mile non-stop. I know, to most this would sound like no big deal, but it means I’m one step closer to my 5K and Gate River Run goals. AND I did it RIGHT AFTER a 45 minute workout with my trainer!

Next stop...Venice
So, I’m leaving for Venice on Saturday for a business trip. While I’m not excited about being away from home yet another weekend, I am SUPER excited about getting to be in Venice for the day/night on Sunday. HOORAY!!!
Then, on Monday morning it’s off to Schio which is 45 minutes outside of Venice. We will be spending the rest of the week here visiting with a vendor.

Roomie Reunion
This morning I woke up and went for a run. When I was done, I took a shower and BLASTED Martina McBride’s Greatest Hits through the house. Gate River Run
Today I went downtown with my friends Sharon and Cathy the Evil Coworker (see previous post) and signed up to do the Gate River Run tomorrow. Though I am not in shape to run, I am going to walk the 5K. I’m so excited. Being down there and seeing all of the runners gave me a surge of energy. What a great Saturday!!
So, Saturday was an amazing day! It was my first beach day of 2009 and it was fabulous!! We had a great group of people show up; however, Annie, Joshua, and Sarah Mac’s pup Lucy were surely the hits of the day! Hopefully I can post a pic or two soon!
I enjoyed a tall bloody Mary as soon as we hit the beach, complete with olives, limes, and celery! Sitting there as the warm sun beat down...

I LOVE Jack Johnson!!
Makes me feel like summer relaxing!! Tomorrow I’m going to go down to the beach and sip on Bloddy Mary’s and Jack SO puts me in the mood to do that. These are the days I’m glad I moved to Florida!!

When you get married, the next thing everyone wants to know is when you’re going to start spitting out babies. I get this question from someone at least two to three times a week. Funny thing about it is that the more people ask, the more I wish I was. In time, I tell myself, in time… (sigh)

Greg was too cute this morning. When I woke up he came upstairs and said “I packed you a lunch today.” I got a turkey and cheddar sandwich, triscuits, a banana, strawberry yogurt, and a Sierra Mist. He even put a spoon in the bag for my strawberry yogurt.

My New Hobby...
…is knitting. I just decided to start doing it yesterday. I already have a partial scarf that is 6 inches wide by 4 inches long. I had to take my work apart 7 times yesterday before I realized there was a chapter in my book called “How to Fix your Mistakes”. I hope to have my scarf by Winter 2011.
Joe the Dog Trainer (Lesson 1)
Last night, Roxie had her first lesson with Joe the Dog Trainer. Acutally, let me rephrase that…Greg and I had OUR first lesson with Joe the Dog Trainer. Joe is very Ceasear-esque in that he trains people, not dogs. He’s teaching us to be the pack leader. (Actually, I’m going to be the Pack Leader and Greg can be the vice-Pack Leader).
